Welcome to the Instructor Information website. You can use this website to:

  • Schedule exams for proctoring assistance through the Exam Proctoring Center (please see below for Fall 2020 changes to the process).

ACCESSING YOUR COURSES

Please click the courses link in the menu above, in order to get started. You will be asked to login using your Net ID and password.

The Exam Proctoring Center (EPC) will not be proctoring exams in-person until further notice.  Remote learning on campus means that exams will also be completed remotely.

It’s always in the best interest of students to take their exam with their instructor.

1.    It is each student’s responsibility to request their accommodation notification is sent to you.

2.    To view accommodations that are relevant to the students in your course(s), log in to Clockwork for Instructors from the Disability Services homepage.  You will be asked to login using your Net ID and password.

3.    Faculty are able to adjust remote time limits on your LMS platform to reflect an extended-time accommodation.

·         For questions and support with specific technology on your chosen Learning Management Systems (LMS) platform of Moodle or Blackboard, contact: instruct@umass.edu.

·         For questions and support with adapting your teaching and pedagogy, contact the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL): mailto:ctl@umass.edu.

·         Students registered with Disability Services should not be held to a higher security standard than non-DS students, and should only receive a proctored exam if all students are receiving a proctored exam in your course.

·         If you require the assistance of the exam proctoring center please read through the following process:

Exam Proctoring:  Proctoring assistance will only be given for disability-related need. Students registered with Disability Services should not be held to a higher security standard than non-DS students, and should only receive a proctored exam if all students are receiving a proctored exam in your course.  If you are giving proctored exams via Zoom and are requesting proctoring assistance for DS students with exam accommodation, you can submit a request for a DS proctor at least 7 days before your exam, as follows:

·         Log-in to Clockwork for Instructors (when prompted, please enter your NetID and password).

·         Under the Courses tab, select one of your courses (i.e. Physics 191, section 01) and click in to the Tests and Exams link on the right.

·         In the “Tell us about an upcoming test” section, enter your test date and then the Add this test button

·         Complete the date, start and end times. Click Next.

·         Complete the test information questions. It’s crucial you provide your Zoom meeting ID number in to the Special Instructions box (and email to dsexams@umass.edu) at least two business-days prior to your exam so the DS proctor can get in to your remote exam session.  Students will still access exams through your LMS platform.

·         Confirm your exam details – you must click the Submit Changes button to confirm your exam request.

o   Set up a Zoom breakout room for students with disabilities and the proctor to ensure uninterrupted access to the exam for students & proctor. Students will access the exam through your LMS platform. The DS proctor will only have access to view the necessary students on zoom. Hence they will need to be able to contact you should there be any access issues.

EPC will confirm proctoring and inform you of the student-proctor assigned to your Zoom exam 2 days in advance.

*Please be aware that PSI (Moodle) and HonorLock (Blackboard) proctoring tools may not be accessible for some DS students using assistive-technology. In that scenario, Zoom proctoring may be necessary instead.
