Welcome!

This module is for students who are eligible for the accommodation called "Peer note-taker (provided by Disability Services)". If your accommodation is "Glean for notetaking and recorded lectures," please email gleanaccess@umass.edu instead of using this module.

Before we can assist you, we ask that you make sure you have already used the Review and Request Accommodations (Submit Letters) module to send notice of your eligibility to your instructors. Once that is confirmed, please use this module to indicate whether or not you need notes in your individual courses.

Follow the Courses / notes link in the black menu bar near the top of the page. This will take you to a page with a list of your courses. To inform us of your need for notes in particular courses, change the status of your need from "No" to "Yes" for each course in which you need notes.

Completing this step will also notify your instructor to ask for a volunteer from the class to be the peer note-taker. Once assigned, the peer note-taker will upload course notes to this module within 24 hours of the class, and the notes will be available for you to download.

In addition, our Note Taking Coordinator will assign you a Glean license so you can utilize the Glean app to take your own notes, get a transcription of the class, and highlight all relevant data and assignments. You'll also be provided a brief tutorial on how to use Glean as well as an FAQ "Frequently Asked Questions" information page. One Glean license can be used in all classes, but DS will still need to know in which classes.

If you have any questions about notes, please contact us at notes@umass.edu.

If you have any issues with Glean specifically, please notify us in detail of the issue at gleanaccess@umass.edu.
