Welcome! If you have established academic accommodations, this module allows you to notify your instructor(s) of your eligibility for accommodations. It is the student’s responsibility to send the notifications each semester. Click on Accommodations in the top left corner send your letters. You will also be able to see any housing accommodations (if applicable), however these will not appear on your letters.
Note: If you have not yet worked with one of our Access Coordinator to establish your accommodation eligibility, please do not use this module--instead, call our office (413-545-0892) to request a welcome appointment, use our online booking tool from the main menu.
While the system defaults to checking off all of your available accommodations, you are able to uncheck any accommodations that you do not wish to use for a particular class. Please note, however, that accommodations cannot be applied retroactively, and you are not required to use them even if you have included them on your accommodation letter.
Once your accommodation letter has been sent to the instructor(s), you will also be able to download a copy of the letter. This is particularly helpful for labs, which often do not have an instructor assigned and therefore the system is unable to send a notification. You may download a copy the letter and provide it to the instructor or TA.
If after reviewing your accommodations, you would like to request an additional accommodation(s) that is not currently listed, please schedule an appointment to meet with your Access Coordinator. Please note that additional documentation from a healthcare provider may be needed, explaining the rationale for the additional accommodation(s). If additional accommodations are granted, your Access Coordinator can assist in sending an updated letter to your instructors.
We hope you will find this self-service feature to be convenient and easy to use. If you have any questions or require support, please contact our office by phone (413-545-0892) or email (disability@umass.edu) and we will be happy to assist you.
